Staff paid attention to every small detail.
Our room, which was very comfortable, was in the dependance which is in an alley opposite the hotel so it didn't quite have the charm of the palazzo itself.

Five stars.Owners and staff very helpful and kind. Stayed in historic building in exquisite antique room - very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Owner even picked us up in Modica after sightseeing and drove us back to the hotel. Their associated restaurants are also excellent. Great place!

This is a small, beautiful and extraordinarily well-run hotel. Staff was eager to help us in any way, including parking our car (gratis) and then offering to drive us from upper Modica to lower Modica and back. Accomodations run from excellent to luxurious. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous. We ate dinner in the hotel's 'second-tier' restaurant, dal Colonello, and found a fabulous menu and wine list, and all the food expertly prepared. One usually has to choose between Noto and Modica to see a certain quality of Sicilian baroque architecture and decoration. This hotel is one, very good reason to choose Modica. I recommend Palazzo Failla unreservedly.

The hotel had an excellent multilingual staff that provided great service in a professional and courteous manner.
The hotel staff made the whole experience enjoyable. The restaurant and coffee bar had good food at reasonable price. Also the hotel was located away from a major traffic road, so very quiet at night.

In today's world of mass consumption and sameness, it is lovely to find somewhere that stands out. The Palazzo Failla hotel is not only a beautiful building with a lovely air and atmosphere situated in the old town of Modica, it is also staffed by professionals. We were treated like royalty; so much so that it was hard to leave. Every single person we encountered was friendly, courteous, and happy to answer even the most trivial of questions. For the first time in a long time, I felt like an honoured guest rather than simply the occupant of a room. A wonderful experience.
It was too short. Try as I might, I can't fault the hotel or the staff on anything. Excellent value, excellent location, excellent staff. I can recommended it unreservedly and will definitely be back.

missingWrote a review on 06 Octhard mattressstreet noisecramped bathroom
The mattress was like a slab of wood-very uncomfortable for a good night's sleep. Air conditioning struggled to keep the room cool, and street noise-especially from motorcycles and a nearby elementary school-made it less tranquil than expected. The bathroom, while clean, felt cramped and a bit dated compared to the room's grandeur.

The high ceilings and antique decor of my corner room created a charming atmosphere, and the Sicilian cunzato bread at breakfast was a good touch. The deeply uncomfortable mattress and lack of padding made for a restless night, compounded by an inadequate air conditioning unit that struggled against the summer heat. Street noise, especially from nearby motorcycles and school traffic, further detracted from a peaceful stay.

Honestly no complaint. Delicious breakfast, nice views, magnificent location just off an excellent wine bar and the centre of Modica. New-fashioned airy room. Air conditioning, a high ceiling, and a writing desk were nice.

Very personal service. Perfect location in historic town of Modica. Beautiful quality boutique hotel and restaurants. Modica is a beautiful town full of history, facinating buildings built on cliff faces so lots of narrow streets and hundreds of steps. Also 20 mins from lovely sandy beaches. Serviced if you require them. Lots of quality restaurants serving quality natural food and wine. Nearby towns of scicili, Ragusa and siracusa are a must visit. Even the drive from Palermo airport passes the most stunning scenery as the elevated motorway snakes over valleys and through mountain tunnels.
English is often not spoken or understood so depending upon your view or situation will either be an enjoyable challenge or a frustration. We sometimes received a laziness from locals not trying to communicate at times because it was effort. But not a biggy. Must have a car. Stairs could be a problem. Spa equipment didnt work which wasn't an issue but could be as they advertise that side of things too heavily.
