missingWrote a review on 06 Octhard mattressstreet noisecramped bathroom
The mattress felt like a slab of wood—very uncomfortable for a good night's sleep. Air conditioning struggled to keep the room cool, and street noise—especially from motorcycles and a nearby elementary school—made it less tranquil than expected. The bathroom, while clean, felt cramped and a bit dated compared to the room's grandeur.

The high ceilings and antique decor of my corner room created a charming atmosphere, and the Sicilian cunzato bread at breakfast was a delightful touch. the deeply uncomfortable mattress and lack of padding made for a restless night, compounded by an inadequate air conditioning unit that struggled against the summer heat. Street noise, especially from nearby motorcycles and school traffic, further detracted from a peaceful stay.

the hotel was such a beautiful spot, really loved the old palazzo vibe. the owner and staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home. the breakfast was nice and tasty, and we even got to enjoy it in a cozy atmosphere. it's just a short walk to discover the narrow streets of modica alta which was cool. also, the room was spacious and clean, making it comfy to chill after a long day.
only downside was that the mattress was a bit too hard for my taste. also, the parking could be a hassle if you’re not used to narrow streets.

Charming historic ambiance with warm hospitality
Staying in this family-run hotel feels like stepping back in time, with beautifully restored interiors and original frescoes. The cozy breakfast served on the terrace was a lovely way to start the day, and the personal touch from the owners made us feel genuinely appreciated. A minor drawback was the challenging parking situation, but the valet service certainly eased the hassle.
